The Geological Series

I recently unearthed a notebook from my college mineralogy course.  In it, I had painstakingly sketched dozens of microscopic thin sections of rocks and minerals. I still find the lines, the shapes and the flow of colors over the face of the slides incredibly exciting.  My new series recreates these beautiful rocks and minerals in fabric.
